If You Travel Across Russia or Stay at a Hotel in Moscow
If you have been registered in another Russian city, please apply for a new registration at your place of residence within 7 working days after your check-out in the other city.
If you have been registered in at a hotel or guesthouse/hostel in Moscow and then you moved to a dormitory or to a rented apartment, please apply for a new registration within 3 working days with the passport officer at your dormitory/HSE Guesthouse, or apply to the local territorial migration office together with the landlord of the rented apartment (in case you rent a room/flat/house).
Please submit the following documents:
- your original registration issued in another city, or a Moscow-based hotel;
- a copy of your passport (all pages);
- a copy of your migration card;
- a copy of your visa (for all foreign citizens, except for citizens of Uzbekistan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, South Ossetia and Abkhazia).
