Visa and Registration Centre

Pursuant to Russian legislation, foreign citizens who violate the immigration regulations (i.e., the period established for migration registration) are subject to a fine of up to RUB 7,000 (seven thousand roubles) and may be deported from Russia on the basis of a court decision, with a further ban on entry into the Russian Federation for up to 3 years.

Please keep in mind the deadlines for applying for migration registration and visa extension

Make sure to submit your documents for migration registration according to your actual residence in Moscow on the following working day after your arrival from another city of Russia, another country, a hotel/hostel (in Moscow, Moscow Region, or another city in the Russian Federation), or if you have changed your place of residence in Moscow, or after you have received a new visa.

Please submit your documents for visa extension not later than 45 days prior to its expiration.

Attention

Beware of fraud connected with migration registration if you are renting an apartment in Moscow. Migration registration is free of charge. The address on the registration slip and the address of your residence in Moscow must be identical.

The visa and migration support centre will be closed on 17 October 2019 from 10:00 till 12:00 due to the stuff meeting. Visiting hours will be from 15-00 till 18-00 as per schedule.

The latest update on the payment of the state fee for issuing an invitation for foreign citizens to enter the Russian Federation

Please be informed that starting from May 17, 2019, pursuant to the directive of the Moscow Migration Office of the MIA of the RF, the state fee for extending invitations to foreign citizens and stateless persons shall be paid for only by bank transfer. Such a transfer shall be made from the host organisation’s bank account and accompanied by an original payment order with the bank’s stamp confirming the execution of payment.Individual payment orders shall be issued for each invitation to a foreign citizen to enter Russia. 
Therefore, receipts for state fees paid for in cash in bank offices (including “Sberbank” and other banks) will not be accepted by the Moscow Migration Office of the MIA of the RF.
